Bill Baines, BSc, MBA – Executive Chairman
Mr. Baines is currently the President & CEO of
AML Wireless Networks Inc. Prior to this role,
Mr. Baines has led in the success of several
technology based service organizations including
as President & COO of MTS Communications Inc.
(Manitoba Telecom Services), President & COO of
Norigen Communications Inc. and previous roles
with Unitel Communications and Bell Canada. Mr.
Baines holds a BSc in Engineering from the
University of Waterloo, and an MBA from the
University of Toronto’s Executive Program. Mr.
Baines currently is Chair of the Board of The
Manitoba Museum, and a member of the Board of
the Associates (University of Manitoba – Asper
School). Past community involvement includes the
United Way Cabinet (London and
Winnipeg), member of the Board of Winnipeg SmartCentre, various community focused
organizations and several community based sports
programs.
Laurie Goldberg,
BComm
(Honours),
CA
Mr. Goldberg brings
considerable depth in financial and business
development experience to OMT. He is currently
the President and CEO of People First HR
Services Ltd., the leading HR consulting firm in
its local market. Prior to joining People First,
Mr. Goldberg held the position of Chief
Operating Officer and Office of the President of
Assante Corporation, a TSE listed company, and
prior thereto was a Managing Partner with Arthur
Andersen.
Mark
Ahrens-Townsend, P.Eng, MBA
Mr. Ahrens-Townsend is Executive VP, Business
Development for Liberstream, makers of a two-way
video collaboration technologies. Mr.
Ahrens-Townsend is a graduate Engineer and MBA
from the University of Manitoba who has spent
the past 20 years in the Engineering and
Information Technology industries. He was most
recently Executive in Residence with the Ensis
Group, the President & CEO of Norsat
International Inc., located in Burnaby, British
Columbia. Mr. Ahrens-Townsend has worked
extensively in the private sector for firms
including Norsat, Infocorp Computer Solutions
Ltd., IBM Canada Limited and Acres Engineering
Consulting Services.
Stephen Pumple,
M.Eng, MBA
Mr. Pumple is
Founder of AZCAR Technologies, a
Fellow of Society of Motion Picture and
Television Engineers (SMPTE, the industry
technical standards-setting body), and a member
of the Association of Federal Communications
Consulting Engineers (AFCEE). With more than
three decades of broadcast design and worldwide
integration experience, Stephen is an author and
speaker for a wide range of technical
conferences and trade publications.
Harold Heide, B.Comm (Hons.)
ENSIS Vice-President, Investments
Harold Heide has over 26 years experience in financial and operational management positions. Between 1996 and March, 2000, the date upon which Mr. Heide joined the ENSIS Growth Fund, Mr. Heide served as the Director, Risk Management with the Manitoba Capital Fund Limited Partnership which provided mezzanine financing to both small and mid-sized businesses in Manitoba. He has held previous financial management positions with Monsanto Canada and Canadian Pacific, and was a licensed investment executive with the former Midland Doherty. Mr. Heide is a graduate of the University of Manitoba.
