OMT Technologies To Support Microsoft Windows Media 9 Series

WINNIPEG, MANITOBA--OMT Inc. (TSX Venture: OMT) through its subsidiary, OMT Technologies Inc., announces its commitment to integrate Microsoft Windows Media 9 Series into OMT products.

OMT will implement Windows Media Audio and Video 9 and other Windows Media 9 Series technologies into its core products, including iMediaTouch broadcast automation software, iMediaLogger multi-channel media logging and recording software, iMediaExpress Encoder mass library encoding system and iMediaMultiStream multi-channel live stream encoding software.

Scott Farr, President and CEO of OMT Technologies, said that supporting the Windows Media 9 Series platform is very much in keeping with OMT's overall strategy to "increase the value of our multi-media and broadcast products by incorporating and implementing the best and most popular multi-media CODECS".

"Windows Media 9 Series definitely represents a world class CODEC and will be available in all OMT products," he stated. Mr. Farr added that OMT hopes to have its first commercial product using Windows Media 9 Series available to the public by the first quarter of 2003.
